Our Skinner West parent volunteers are essential to our school functions.  If you are interested in volunteering or are leading any activity or program at Skinner West Elementary, you must complete a CPS volunteer application.

The following are a few examples of volunteer opportunities requiring a Volunteer Application: classroom volunteers, field trip chaperones, Walkathon, book fairs, room parents, coaching for sport teams or clubs, Gallery 111 art show and family fun nights.

If you are a parent or family member volunteering at our school, please go to CPSVolunteers.org or use this link and complete the Volunteer Application.

Volunteers are needed for the Friends of Skinner West Walkathon on September 27th.

This is one of the largest fundraisers for the school and supplies our students with much of the technology that they use. We need your help to meet our goal of raising $55,000.

Please use the link to sign up to volunteer at the event. This is a great way to get involved and meet other parents! goo.gl/bZx6J8

PTO Meeting Tuesday, Sept. 18, 6 pm
Please join us for the first PTO meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 6 p.m. in the Skinner West library. All parents and teachers are welcome. At this meeting, you'll learn what PTO does, who the board members are, and how you can join the board or get involved on your own time. Joining the PTO doesn't come with any specific obligations. We're always looking for parents to help out with event planning or decorating, soliciting donations from community sponsors, updating our website, designing flyers, etc. If you have a skill, interest, or community connection that might benefit Skinner West PTO, please tell us at skinnerwestpto@gmail.com.

PTO Catalog Fundraiser
Help support Skinner West by selling items from the "From Our Gnome to Yours" catalog to your family and friends. If your student didn't bring a catalog home, you can get one in the school office. All forms must be turned in by Sept. 24. Up to 40% of sales will go back to Skinner West, and students are eligible for fun prizes. For questions, contact skinnerwestpto@gmail.com.
